Celebratory Event

A huge thank you too all who joined our celebratory event on the 13th of March, showcasing the varied aspects of our Peace Impact Programme.

Pictured at a celebratory event held in the Island Theatre Ballinamore to celebrate the Better Together – Níos Fearr Le Chéile Project which brought cross-border communities in Cavan, Leitrim, Fermanagh and Tyrone together with a focus on building co-operation and networking opportunities were left Shona McCarthy, Chairperson, International Fund for Ireland & Máirín Uí Mháirtín, Chair, Ballinamore Area Community Council Clg . Funded under the IFI Peace Impact Programme, the project worked with over 1,000 people, including post-primary pupils over a 24-month period in a series of initiatives which focused on key themes including community development, employment enhancement and the creative arts. The event was hosted by Ballinamore Area Community Council. Photo: Lorraine Teevan

We were joined on the day by Shona McCarthy, the Chairperson of the IFI.

Our Peace Impact Programme comes to an end today and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who have participated in and supported the project, and to the IFI for funding our work.
