Peace Impact Programme
The Better Together – Níos Fearr Le Chéile (PIP) project has been successful in securing funding for a further two years. The new iteration of the project will run from April 2024 – March 2026.
Better Together – Níos Fearr Le Chéile Peace Impact Programme is funded and supported by the International Fund for Ireland, which is an independent, international organisation that was set up by the British and Irish Governments in 1986. The International Fund for Ireland’s objectives are to promote economic and social advance and encourage contact, dialogue, and reconciliation between Unionists and Nationalists throughout the island of Ireland. The Better Together – Níos Fearr Le Chéile Peace Impact Programme recognises that although much has been achieved in securing a lasting peace due to the Peace Process on the island of Ireland, locally more engagement is required.
Better Together – Níos Fearr Le Chéile Peace Impact Programme aims to promote economic and social advance; and encourages cross-border cross-community relationships. We will do this by encouraging groups and communities that have not previously, or only partially, participated in peacebuilding activities to do so.
