It has been a busy few months here in our Peace Project Office!

One key element of our Peace Impact Programme is the ‘Cross Border Programme’ – which consists of our Cross Border/ Cross Community Schools Project and our Literature- Bridge Across Difference Project. You can find out more about these and other projects in our Summer Newsletter.

Meet the Author Event Cavan Library

April was a busy month for our Peace Impact Project Better Together – Níos Fearr Le Chéile. Cavan Library hosted our third meet the author event, in our ‘Bridge Across Difference’ Reading Programme. Our guest author was local Cavan author Gerard Smith, who answered lots of questions from our Cross Border / Cross Community readers who travelled from Omagh, Enniskillen, and Leitrim. Gerards book ‘ Secrets and Styes’ is a memoir, set in the Border County of Cavan and explores life living in a small border town before the Peace Process. The readers discussed #Equality #Diversity #Inclusion and #Peace. It was a fantastic night and everyone throughly enjoyed the evening. A huge thank you to Cavan library for hosting us, to Gerard for his time and to all the librarie’s readers who attended.
